My name is Ricky Puckett… actually, it’s Richard, but I’ve gone by Ricky my whole life to friends and family. Richard professionally and for work, etc. I’m just a guy from Oklahoma City, OK who has done a thing or two in music. Specifically, in death metal. I’ve been in several different bands going back to when I was a teenager. All death metal bands with the exception of two of them. Been able to do some pretty awesome things as a result. Got to tour to the east coast. Played Cornerstone Festival in 2011. Performed at Audiofeed Festival 2014. Played Texas Rockfest in 1997, a couple of West Texas Death Fests as well. Opened up for several national acts, including Living Sacrifice, Impending Doom, The Famine, Becoming the Archetype, Soul Embraced, To Speak of Wolves, Malevolent Creation, Napalm Death, The Black Dahlia Murder, Strongarm, A Hill to Die Upon, Your Chance to Die, Exodus, Skinlab, Grave Robber, Leper, Hope for the Dying, Eternal Decision, Bloodline Severed, The Showdown, As They Sleep, among many others.
Vocalist for the following bands:
- Treacherous Death | 1995
- Obliteration (also known as “Death List”) | 1997-1999
- Veil of Suffering (Just straight up metal. Not death metal) | 2007-2008
- Broken Flesh | 2010-2012
- Anemia (Non-death metal. Goth project with Skot Shaw of Chicago goth band, Leper) | 2012-2016
- In Darkest Dreams | 2014-2020
I was also a DJ a KOKF 91FM in Oklahoma City from 1995-2000. In 2007, I started Warclub Radio as a pre-recorded music show online. From 2013 to 2016, it was streaming 24/7/365. The radio station has since transitioned back to it’s original format of prerecorded shows at mixcloud.com/warclubradio with occasional live streams.
